1. Introduction
At MotionVector, we strive to provide exceptional visagiste services and ensure complete customer satisfaction. We understand that circumstances may arise requiring cancellation or requesting a refund. This Refund Policy outlines our procedures for handling such situations.
By booking our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy. We encourage you to read this policy carefully before scheduling any appointments.
2. Deposit and Payment Policy
2.1 Deposits
For certain services, particularly bridal makeup, editorial work, and large group bookings, we require a non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment. The deposit amount is typically:
- Bridal Services: 50% of the total service cost
- Editorial/Fashion Work: 25% of the total service cost
- Group Bookings (4+ people): 30% of the total service cost
- Standard Appointments: No deposit required
The remainder of the payment is due on the day of the service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
2.2 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Bank Transfers
- Cash (in-person only)
3. Cancellation and Refund Conditions
3.1 Standard Appointments
For standard makeup appointments (non-bridal, individual clients):
- Cancellation with 48+ hours notice: Full refund of any prepaid amount
- Cancellation with 24-48 hours notice: 75% refund of any prepaid amount
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: No refund
3.2 Bridal Services
For bridal makeup services:
- Cancellation with 60+ days notice: Deposit is non-refundable, but any additional prepaid amount will be refunded
- Cancellation with 30-60 days notice: Deposit is non-refundable, 50% refund of any additional prepaid amount
- Cancellation with less than 30 days notice: No refund
We understand that wedding dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances. If you need to reschedule your wedding date, we will make every effort to accommodate the new date, subject to our availability. The deposit can be transferred to the new date if we are available.
3.3 Editorial and Commercial Work
For editorial and commercial makeup services:
- Cancellation with 7+ days notice: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellation with 3-7 days notice: 50% refund of any amount paid beyond the deposit
- Cancellation with less than 3 days notice: No refund
3.4 Group Bookings
For group bookings of 4 or more people:
- Cancellation with 14+ days notice: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellation with 7-14 days notice: 50% refund of any amount paid beyond the deposit
- Cancellation with less than 7 days notice: No refund
Individual cancellations within a group booking will not receive a refund unless the entire booking is cancelled according to the above terms.
3.5 Makeup Lessons
For individual and group makeup lessons:
- Cancellation with 48+ hours notice: Full refund or rescheduling without penalty
- Cancellation with 24-48 hours notice: 75% refund or rescheduling with a 25% rebooking fee
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: No refund
4. Refund Process and Timeframe
When a refund is approved according to our policy:
- Credit/Debit Card payments will be refunded to the original payment method within 5-10 business days
- Bank Transfer payments will be refunded via bank transfer within 5-10 business days
- Cash payments will be refunded via bank transfer (you will need to provide your banking details)
Please note that while we process refunds promptly, the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your financial institution and may take up to 10 business days.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Provide your name, contact information, appointment details, and reason for cancellation
- Include your booking reference number if available
- For refunds to be processed via bank transfer, include your bank details
All refund requests will be processed according to the timeframes outlined in this policy.
6. Exceptions to the Refund Policy
6.1 Unsatisfactory Service
If you are not satisfied with our services, please inform your makeup artist immediately during or immediately after your appointment. We will make every effort to address your concerns and rectify the situation.
In the event that we are unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, partial or full refunds may be offered at our discretion after a thorough review of the circumstances.
6.2 Medical Emergencies
In case of medical emergencies, we may waive the standard cancellation policy upon receipt of appropriate documentation (such as a doctor's note). Each case will be evaluated individually.
6.3 Service Cancellation by MotionVector
If we need to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (artist illness, emergency, etc.), we will:
- Offer to reschedule your appointment at your convenience
- Provide a full refund of any prepaid amount if rescheduling is not possible
- In case of bridal or event makeup, make every effort to arrange for a replacement artist of similar skill level
7. No-Shows
If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice ("no-show"), you will not be eligible for a refund of any prepaid amount. Additionally, for future bookings, we may require full payment in advance.
8. Gift Certificates and Prepaid Services
Gift certificates and prepaid service packages:
- Are non-refundable but are transferable to another person
- Have a validity period of 12 months from the date of purchase
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Must be presented at the time of service (digital or physical copy)
9. Changes to This Refund Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
